Corner Shower & Laundry is a Detroit non-profit that provides free shower and laundry for those that need it. For this project, my role is to improve the sign-up process to help make volunteering more accessible to everyone.
I begin with the pain points of online registration. To ensure accurate information, I signed up through their online portal and spent time at Corner Shower & Laundry working with the staff and guests. This helped me realize the challenges CSL faces in person and online. As they struggled to bring in more volunteers, the sign-up process stood out as having more obstacles. I decided to design a mobile UI that helps make this process more intuitive.
The final product is distilled into a simple process that provides as much information as possible for both the volunteer and the non-profit.
